Nat Woodcock
Nat studied piano at the Royal College of Music
where he was a finalist for the Beethoven Prize and went on to perform as a
soloist at St. Martins-in-the-fields, St. John’s, Smith Sq, and the Purcell
Rooms in London.
His experience of musical theatre has included playing
keyboards in the West End productions of Wicked, Billy Elliot, Lord of the
Rings and Spamalot as well as touring with Joseph and Blood Brothers.
His jazz band The Nat Franklin Trio has performed throughout
the UK at venues such as Ronnie Scotts and for Prince Charles at Clarence House
and were No.7 in the Jazz FM charts back in 2001! He has also worked alongside
George Melly and Humphrey Lyttleton.
Nat’s composition credits include music for various adverts
and has scored arrangements for the Playstation Driver3 game as well as
numerous bands.
This year he has completed work on the soundtracks for The
Children (2009), Bronson (2009) both for Vertigo films and an upcoming movie
biopic about John Lennon.
Nat
lives near Oxford with his wife, Claire, 3 young children , big dog and small
cat.
